What does the garden mean to you?

As Mother’s Day approaches, we’re reflecting on the incredible influence the matriarchs in our families have had on our love for gardening and the natural world. Like so many of you, Trisha and I have been deeply inspired by the women in our lives—grandmothers, mothers, aunts—who nurtured our passion for plants and passed down their wisdom through the generations.

Now, we’d love to hear your story. Share your cherished gardening memories and family photos with us, celebrating the women who shaped your love for the garden. As a thank-you, selected stories will be featured in our Mother’s Day campaign, and those chosen will receive a year’s worth of Le Sacs!

Here’s to honouring the hands that planted the seeds of our passion—one story at a time.

1. Introduction

1.1 By entering the Le Sac Mother’s Day Photo Competition (the “Competition”), you (“Entrant”) agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.

1.2 The promoter of this Competition is Le Sac ABN 44 681 805 564, located in Suite 8, 152 Carp Street, Bega, NSW 2550 (“Promoter”).

2. Eligibility

2.1 The Competition is open to Australian residents aged 18 years or older.

2.2 Employees of the Promoter and their immediate families are not eligible to enter.

3. How to Enter

3.1 To enter, participants must submit:
a) 2-5 photographs featuring their mother or family in a garden setting; and
b) A short story or caption about their connection to gardening and family.

3.2 Entries must be submitted via this Google Form by 30th April 2025 at 7pm AEST.

4. Use of Submitted Content

4.1 By submitting an entry, the Entrant grants the Promoter a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual, worldwide licence to use, reproduce, modify, publish, and distribute the submitted content (including photographs and written stories) across Le Sac’s marketing channels, including but not limited to:

• Website and social media (Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, etc.)
• Email newsletters
• Promotional materials

4.2 The Entrant confirms they own the copyright of the submitted content and have obtained any necessary permissions from identifiable persons in the photograph (e.g. their mother or family members) to share and publish the image.

4.3 The Promoter will credit the Entrant wherever reasonably possible when using the content.

5. Selection of Winners

5.1 Entries will be judged based on creativity, storytelling, and alignment with Le Sac’s brand values.

5.2 The Promoter’s decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.

5.3 The winner(s) will be announced via Le Sac's social media pages, website and email.

6. Privacy & Personal Information

6.1 By entering, the Entrant agrees that their name, submitted images, and story may be published as part of the Competition promotion.

6.2 Personal information will be handled in accordance with the Promoter’s Privacy Policy.

7. General Conditions

7.1 The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any entries that do not comply with these Terms & Conditions.

7.2 The Promoter is not responsible for any issues beyond its control, including but not limited to technical failures or lost entries.

7.3 This Competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed, or administered by any social media platform on which it may be promoted.

7.4 These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of [Insert State/Territory], Australia.
