Behind Le Sac x Outback Gardens
In an inspired collaboration, Le Sac with Outback Gardens has proudly launched a limited-edition collection that embodies the beauty, resilience, and innovation of Australian gardening. This exclusive range features the beloved Le Sac gardening belt, reimagined in a striking Ruby Saltbush and Eucalyptus stripe pattern, alongside the debut of a brand-new companion piece, a premium canvas kneeler.
Drawing inspiration from Outback Gardens founder Cassandra Hooke’s deeply personal journey in creating her Western Riverina garden, the collection captures the pink tones of native saltbush and the grey-green of Eucalyptus pauciflora from the Monaro region where Sahra and Trisha call home. These botanical inspirations transform everyday gardening essentials into pieces that celebrate the iconic colours of Australia’s landscape.
This collaboration marks a union of two female-founded brands, celebrating the work of regional women. Through this collection, Le Sac and Outback Gardens invite gardeners to embrace the joy, creativity, and connection that our gardens brings to our lives.
“We’ve been following Cass’s journey with Outback Gardens for years and have long admired her passion and creativity. It’s an absolute thrill to collaborate and bring this exclusive collection to life,” says Sahra Dixon, co-founder of Le Sac. "This collection is more than just gardening accessories; it’s a true tribute to the incredible women redefining Australian landscapes, blending innovation with beauty, and it’s all about making the act of gardening as beautiful as the garden itself."
About Cassandra Hooke
Founder of Outback Gardens and a passionate gardener from Western Riverina, Cassandra Hooke brings a distinctive blend of authenticity and creativity to this collaboration. Known for her deep knowledge of arid gardening and love for resilient plants and gardens.
“I chose to collaborate with Le Sac because I saw a brand that lives and breathes regional life. It’s not just pretty tools—it’s pieces that actually help you in the garden. That’s rare,” Cassandra explains. “The stripe pattern we created is drawn from nature’s own palette—celebrating the intense pinks of saltbush and the soft, powdery greens of eucalyptus. These colours are home to me.”
About the Collaboration
From the first conversation between co-founders Trish and Sahra and Cassandra, it was clear that this would be a collaboration built on mutual respect, a love of the land, and a shared desire to craft something meaningful.
Designed with both aesthetics and practicality in mind, the gardening belt retains its renowned durability and functionality, featuring multiple reinforced pockets, 360° movement, and adjustable sizing. Meanwhile, the addition of a high-quality canvas kneeler ensures essential comfort for long days spent tending to the earth. Crafted from heavy-duty materials, both items are built to withstand the practical nature of Australian gardening while adding a touch of elegance to the experience.
"This collaboration with Outback Gardens is about more than just aesthetics, it’s about creating pieces that feel and function as good as they look. This is why, thanks to Cass’s suggestion, we’re particularly delighted to introduce our first-ever kneeler. Another practical yet beautiful addition to our range that will keep you comfortable and dry when tending to your garden,” explains Trisha Dixon, co-founder of Le Sac.
This limited edition collection launches on the 2nd May 2025 at Hunt & Co, Deniliquin.
